
NX CAM: Saving the Catalog Number When Exporting Tools to the Tool Library

Details
A tool was exported to the Tool Library. Before exporting the tool the Catalog Number was entered to help when ordering. When the tool was retrieved back into NX the Catalog Number was no longer correct. How do we get the Catalog Number to be saved when exporting the tool to the Tool Library in NX CAM software?

Solution
The reason that the Catalog Number is not imported back into NX is because the Tool Library does not save the Catalog Number. To record the Catalog Number enter the number into the Description field instead of the Catalog Number.

The Catalog Number entry is not included in the new Cloud Connect Tool Manager because this variable is not saved. The Description field is shown because it is used.
