Solid Edge Cloud-Enabled Licensing Program to Be Discontinued | January 01, 2025
Solid Edge Cloud-Enabled Licensing Will Stop Working For:
- All older versions of Solid Edge (any version prior to Solid Edge 2024) beginning March 31, 2025
- Customers can use Cloud-enabled licensing for Solid Edge 2024 and 2025 until January 1, 2026.
Please Work With Your Partner to Explore Alternative Options That Best Fit Your Needs:
- If you are using Solid Edge 2023 or an older version of Solid Edge and would like to continue using Cloud-enabled licensing, you will need to upgrade to Solid Edge 2024 or Solid Edge 2025.
- With Solid Edge 2025, you will also have the option of converting to Solid Edge X that supports Siemens cloud licensing which is far more flexible. Contact Saratech to learn more about Solid Edge X.
- Move to Solid Edge Floating licenses. Floating licenses will give you the option to remote VPN to the license server to check out a license or even borrow a license.
Please note that there are no other changes to node-locked licenses. This applies to Solid Edge Cloud-enabled license(s) only.
