This short FEMAP tutorial explores how to prepare a solid geometry by the first mind surfacing then creating and assigning accurate mesh attributes. Our goal was to take a solid piece of geometry and successfully model it with uniform quad elements by utilizing the meshing toolbox. Once the model is prepared, we dive into the meshing toolbox where we utilize feature removal to remove any rounds that may hinder a clean refined mesh. We then explore additional features in the meshing toolbox including mesh surface, mesh sizing, combined/composite curves, and geometry editing.
